EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES through Innovative Journalism (Can India generate more employment or it’s just a peril now?)
It is a widely known fact that India is facing challenges in tackling the growing unemployment problem in the country. Although India is the fastest rising economy in the world, the low job growth in the country has resulted in India’s diverse problems such as social unrest and crime, poverty and hunger, and poor standards of health and wellbeing. As per a research report by Motilal Oswal, India needs to develop 10 Mn jobs per annum until 2030, which roughly translates to 8,30,000 jobs every month for the next 12 years. As India aims for higher growth and economic prosperity, it needs to move fast on job creation, to avoid any adverse economic and social consequences in the long run. Besides, the government should also focus on economic policies to support sectors of economic activity that are likely to generate the most employment in the country.
